In the event of installation issues, the following are the most common indicators and their corresponding recommended solutions:
1. Unbalanced current
Validity status: UNBALANCED_CURRENT
Current RMS values differ noticeably between phases The measurement graph shows different amplitudes on each sine wave
Solution: Confirm that the CTs are properly closed and connected to the DAQ. If the unbalance continues to be visible, please measure the the 3 phases with an ammeter to confirm the values and communicate these to Samotics
2. Missing voltage
Validity status shows: MISSING_VOLTAGE
Voltage RMS values differ significantly
Sine wave amplitudes in the measurement graph are visibly different
Solution: Check the voltage branching and make sure that the terminal block fuses are in place
3. Current clamps on same phase
Validity status shows: CURRENT_VOLTAGE_MISMATCH or INVALID_SIGN
Review phase angle values
Measurement graph may show overlapping or inverted sine waves Solution: Make sure the CTs are clamped correctly, measuring the 3 current phases
4. Current clamps issues
Validity status shows: CURRENT_CLAMP_FAULT
CT status on DAQ page shows: CT Mismatch, Not Connected
Check if all current clamps are properly inserted into DAQ and closed securely around phase wires.
If all current clamps are connected correctly but the issue is still there, then please replace the whole set with spare one of the same type.
