Safety
Carefully read all hardware instructions prior to installation and follow the instructions of the warnings on the labels of the equipment and in this manual at all times.
• Notice The equipment may only be installed by qualified engineers who are familiar with the safety, electrical engineering, and EMC guideline requirements and this manual.
• Warning Switch off all power supply equipment before you start to install the system in the
control cabinet.
• Warning Wait at least ten minutes after switching off the control cabinet before starting the
activities. Internal condensers of Variable Frequency Drives (VFD) need a discharge period after
having been switched off. The risk of suffering serious electric shocks continues to be present
within this period. Optionally, check the manual of the Variable Frequency Drive that is present for
the exact discharge period.
• Warning Use an approved and certified multimeter to confirm that the control cabinet is dead
(voltage free).
• Notice Do not connect the device to a voltage that is greater than specified on the product
label of the power supply adapter.
• Notice Do not install the device in atmospheres that fall outside the atmosphere specifications
of humidity and temperature.
• Warning Always ensure that the equipment is not in the vicinity of moisture. Do not pour any
liquid over or in an opening of the equipment. This will cause a fire or electrical shock.
• Warning Never open the equipment.
• Notice The openings in the housing of all equipment are for air cooling. Do not cover the
openings since this may lead to overheating.
All equipment uses low voltage up to 690 Volt alternating current (AC) which can cause serious electrical shocks and/or fire and may lead to serious injuries and even death. Taking extreme care is always recommended.
