To take a new measurement, first navigate to the DAQs page and click the Take Measurement button. This feature allows you to manually trigger the collection of the latest data from your connected device. Once started, the new measurement will appear in the list and display detailed graphs of current and voltage, helping you detect potential installation errors and verify correct setup.
Measurement details and graphs
Follow the next steps to validate measurements data:
1. Check Validity status. Anything else than "VALID" will help you find possible installation errors
2. Check if all values of current and voltage are close to the rated or operational ones
3. Confirm that all Phase Angels values are around 120
4. Check Measurement Graph for any disruptions in current and voltage sine waves
If any values look significantly incorrect, measure manually using a multimeter, check the wiring, and repeat the previous steps.
The voltage and current sinewave graphs should be smooth, regular, and similar across all phases. The amplitude of the waves should also be consistent. Any distortion, imbalance, or sudden changes could indicate wiring issues, load problems, or sensor faults.
If a VFD (Variable Frequency Drive) is used, some distortion in the waveforms is normal and expected:
