Connect to motor

Install current sensors

The next step is to connect the DAQ to the phase wires of the electric motor. Let's start with the three current sensors.

1. Check if the amperage of the current sensors and the current sensor cables match the electric motor.

2. Plug the connectors of the current sensor cables into the corresponding ports of the DAQ and lead the sensor cables from the DAQ to the corresponding phase wires of the motor.

Notice Plugging a connector into the wrong port on the DAQ is prevented by red insert pieces in the connectors. The current sensor connectors only fit in the corresponding port on the DAQ.

3. Open the Bayonet coupling of the current sensor. Position the current sensor around the phase wire. A sticker on the current sensor shows the correct orientation of the current sensor.

4. Close the current sensor by pressing the bayonet coupling shut. The current sensor will now be hanging loosely around the phase wire.

Notice For multiple phase wires, place the sensor around a single wire per phase.
